BRAIN IN-COM June 8th-12, 2026

WHO CLASS IS FOR:

• People with traumatic brain injuries

• People with acquired brain injuries due to stroke or infections that result in

cognitive-communication challenges

• Adults from ages 18 and older

Care partners are welcome to attend alongside your survivor

WHAT CLASS IS FOR:

• Learn more about your brain and brain injuries (see our virtual cadaver lab)

• Collaborate on project-based interventions that are known to help improve communication, collaboration, executive functions, and renegotiating personal identity after brain injury

• Advocacy projects and co-design/co-production projects from the lived experience perspective

• Explore identity through writing/photography

• Learn coping strategies and techniques, including mindfulness and breathing techniques, peer identified strategies, outdoor activities, and more

• Opportunities to discuss depression, anxiety, and other mental health challenges

• Individual goal areas and treatment plans
