Sub-acute Rehabilitation - hospital-based or skilled nursing-based with focus on medical stability and/or complex nursing needs, in addition to receiving rehabilitation similar to acute rehabilitation. Person usually receives therapy a minimum of 2 hours per day during the week. Average length of stay is 6 to 9 months.
