  • Midwest Advocacy Project- Mayo Clinic TBI Model System and BIAW
    **Application deadline has been extended to June 30, 2009**
    Research study to identify how to best teach advocacy to people touched by TBI and to improve their health and that of their communities. This ground breaking study is expected to advance the science of TBI research. If you would like to participate in this research study:
    * Must be at least 18 years old
    * Must be a person/family member/significant other affected by moderate to severe TBI
    * Must be a year or more post injury
    * Must be able to attend four monthly training sessions in Madison
    * Travel expenses will be covered for those residing at least 60 miles from training site
    * All participants will receive a research stipend upon completion of the four sessions

  • Achilles Track Club-Madison: Hope & Possibility 5K Race
    When: Sunday, July 26th at 1:00 PM
    Location: Madison Capitol Building, start/finish line is at State St. and W. Mifflin
    Cost: $20 in advance
    Race Divisions: able bodied, amputee, visually impaired, handcycle, pushrim wheelchair, ambulatory disabled.


    Achilles Track Club-Madison is hosting their 1st Annual Hope & Possibility 5K Race on July 26th. The race is namesake of Trisha Meili, the "Central Park Jogger." Trisha advocates for women's safety against rape, with brain injury support groups and athletes that are disabled that try to get back into sports-such as long distance running.
    Trisha Meili will not only run the 5K but also say a few words before the race and be available afterwards to sign autographs, her book or to just say hello.

  • 21st Annual Wisconsin Conference on Brain Injury
    Thank you to everyone for another successful conference! We enjoyed many wonderful speakers offering a wide variety of informative topics. Our "Beyond the Barriers" awards banquet was a celebratory time. Congratulations again to all of the award recipients! Our first ever "Conference Reception" was a hit. We are appreciative of all our sponsors, benefactors, exhibitors, presenters,volunteers and all those who attended that assisted in creating a successful conference.
